Sunnynook Community Centre is situated on the corner of Sunnynook Road and Sycamore Drive in Sunnynook on the North Shore, Auckland City.
We have rooms for hire at Sunnynook Community Centre and the Kennedy Park Observation Post which is situated in Castor Bay.
At Sunnynook we have a Community Creche which is open during school terms. The Creche currently has a waiting list email email@example.com if you wish to add your child's name to the list.
We also run a School Holiday Programme at Sunnynook and a Youth Programme at Kennedy Park during the school holidays. Please phone Bronwyn or Debbie on 410-4902 or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like more information (there is currently a waiting list).

The purpose of the Sunnynook Community Centre is to enhance social and cultural well-being by providing accessible and affordable opportunities for people of all ages, cultures and interests to come together in a safe and supportive environment to:
- Make friends, meet people, learn, contribute and participate in the local community.
- Particpate in programmes and services developed in response to changing community needs.

UPCOMING WEEKLY EVENTS
Walking Group - Wednesdays - 9.30am
Join local residents on Wednesday mornings for a weekly walk in the local area. Enjoy the company of others. We will start at a gentle pace for our first walks and slowly increase the pace and distance. Meet in the foyer of the Sunnynook Community Centre at 9.30am. No charge. Walks will be cancelled if it is wet. You can call the Community Centre to check for cancellation - ph 410-4902. Registration is not necessary. Free English Conversation Group - Mondays 11.00am-12.30pm
We invite those with English as a second language to join us to practise speaking English and meet new people. Mondays 11.00am - 12.30pm (school terms only), Sunnynook Community Centre, Sycamore Room. Light refreshments will be served. SUNNYNOOK STORIES PROJECT
Do you have stories of growing up around here?
Did you play in the clay, pull eels from the creek or try and avoid the two year fires?
Do you have photos and/or stories of the "good old days" in Sunnynook and Forrest Hill in the 60s and 70s.?
We are collating a book and digital resource of these stories to document and preserve the history of the beginning days of Sunnynook.

DONATIONS OF WOOL
A group that meets in the Sunnynook Community Centre would welcome donations of wool (or coins to contribute to the cost of shipping and buying wool) so they can continue creating warm blankets for children in overseas countries and Kidz First in New Zealand. Blankets and shawls/scarves will be displayed at a later date. Please drop off donations to the Community Centre office, 9.00am - 4.00pm, Monday to Friday, or phone (09) 442 1247 for collection.
